Dear Drivers and Teams of the 24H C1 Portimão,

The big weekend is coming up, so we are providing the final information for you to read carefully and ensure you have the best event possible:

- Briefing – for team leaders only – will take place in the briefing room, at 11:00 a.m., located above the info point.

Drivers should not attend this briefing to avoid confusion. They should consult the digital briefing that will be sent as soon as the AIA Motor Clube sends it to us.

Saturday

09:00 to 11:00 a.m. – Private practice 1

11:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. – Private practice 2

01:00 p.m. – Team managers briefing

03:00 to 3:30 p.m. – Qualifying

4:00 p.m. on Saturday to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday – Race

- Technical checks schedule:

Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in each team’s box

- Tyre service schedule:

Friday 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. + 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. + 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

- Fuel service schedule:

Friday 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. until the end of the race

- Credential delivery: will be done at the paddock reception, located on the left side of the paddock access gate, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday.

- Access to the paddock: given that the Algarve International Racetrack has the track occupied on Friday, we will only be allowed access to the paddock from 07:30 p.m. on Friday.

- Box distribution: All teams are assigned a (shared) box.

The use of the box requires a deposit of 500€ per team, paid directly to the AIA at the info point, where you can also collect the keys. The deposit is returned at the end of the race when the key is returned. The boxes must be clean and free of debris or liquids (otherwise the deposit will not be returned and the team will have to pay a cleaning fee charged by the circuit). The document with the box allocation can be consulted here. 

- Transponder: these can be rented for 70€ and a deposit must be paid in the form of a sports license or identification document. They must be collected from the timing room on the 1st floor of the Race Control building. Anyone with a transponder must provide its number in the timing room.

- Fuel deposits + tyre purchase and service: anyone who has not yet made the payment must do so before the event, when collecting their credentials. Please note that teams that do not make the payment in advance will not be allowed on the track.

Note: regarding pricing issues, please keep in mind that we had to purchase over twenty thousand liters of fuel and almost four hundred tyres for the service. This is a whole logistical operation involving associated services, with expensive personnel and equipment that are hired exclusively for the event. Please be understanding, as these are complex and costly operations to ensure your comfort throughout the race. Otherwise, you would have to go to Lagos to fill up petrol cans or you would have to have several rims and take everything assembled to the race.
