Dear Driving Days Participants and Friends,
Motor Sponsor, the entity responsible for creating and organizing the Driving Days track days, has listened to the many suggestions and requests from its participants and has decided to raise the bar in 2025. We presented the largest and most ambitious calendar in our history, an unprecedented milestone at the national level.
This year, our calendar features a total of 14 track days spread across three of the country's main circuits: Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Estoril, and Circuito do Sol.
We have maintained our high standards of organization and safety, reinforcing our investment in equipment and technology to simplify the registration and accreditation process. We continue to include liability and personal accident insurance, essential for the safety of participants, although this entails an additional cost due to the fees associated with these insurance policies, in addition to the insurance cost charged to the participant.
We've enriched the Estoril event experience with new track and paddock activities, allowing the public to enjoy unique moments beyond the adrenaline of track days.
We've expanded our available services by introducing a concierge service, which offers transportation, technical assistance, and reserved parking for our customers.
We've already completed half of the annual calendar, and although some events have registered negative results, particularly those held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the overall balance is positive. The drop in profitability at AIA is mainly due to the increase in track rental fees compared to the previous year, as well as the increased logistical costs due to the distance, both for the organizers and for the participants.
Despite this, Motor Sponsor decided to maintain the track days at AIA, receiving in return an agreement with the circuit management, which guaranteed us exclusivity in hosting this type of event, thus protecting our investment and risk.
Unfortunately, this commitment was broken without any prior notice, with the AIA announcing its own track day with prices so low that, if we had held them while maintaining our quality standards and controlled number of vehicles on the track, we wouldn't even cover the track rental costs.
We consider this situation regrettable and felt we should share this reality with you, as many of you have been with us since the founding of Driving Days in 2017.
We deeply appreciate your continued support and assure you that we will remain committed to providing excellent track experiences.
Best regards,
Driving Days Team – Motor Sponsor
